The Ohio Capitol Journal states that the SAVE Act will prevent millions of Americans from voting. It’s not just simple voter ID. It would require a passport or birth, marriage, name-change, and/or divorce documentation to be able to vote.

For decades members of the League of Women Voters have registered millions of voters across the country. If the SAVE Act passes, registration drives, and on-line voter registration, will be stopped.  The only way for citizens to register will be to show up in person at their county Board of Elections and they will need to present documentary proof of citizenship (DPOC) to register and/or vote. In the 119th Congress, three major pieces of legislation have been introduced to require DPOC to vote, including:

The League of Women Voters of Hudson recently conducted a study of the Hudson Library and Historical Society and has found it to be a well-run, fiscally responsible, dynamic library.  Based on this study, the League is endorsing the library levy which will be on the ballot on May 6.
